So many engagements and celebrity weddings this year, i’m beginning to lose count. It started with 2face and Annie Idibia who ran away from us to hold their wedding in Dubai, to kokomaster D’Banj sister’s grand white wedding and then, the just held Peter Okoye and Lola Omotayo’s traditional ceremony. 2013 is setting a record already!
Of course you know who’s next. Tiwa Savage is set to finally tie the knot with her manager-turned-boyfriend Tunji Balogun.
I’m still doing my research on why female music stars keep hooking up with their managers. Lol. That’s gist for another day.
Okay, back to the reason why we are here. The couple are trying to keep everything hush-hush but since fans are dying to know all the details, here is what i could find for you guys.
According to NET, Tiwa and Tunji will on Saturday, November 23, 2013 be holding their traditional marriage ceremony at The Ark Vicinity located on Okunade Bluewater Zone, off Remi Olowude Street, Lekki. The nuptials will kick off at 9AM and last four hours followed by a reception at the same venue. I’m not telling you this so you gatecrash their wedding. If you do, you’re strictly on your own.
The wedding invitation which is creatively designed with a ‘T and T’ emblem on the cover is printed in two colours – fuchsia and gold, matching the wedding outfit colours of the day. The event is strictly by invitation. Strictly!
The planning of the wedding was contracted to ‘The Wedding Company’ led by celebrated events expert Funmi Victor-Okigbo. The company also planned the weddings for comedian Basketmouth, Bella Adenuga and Leo Stan Ekeh‘s daughter.
The decoration has been contracted to ‘Newton and David’ owned by veteran decorator Uche Majekodunmi. The couple will be serenaded by veteran musician King Sunny Ade and a handful of other top Nigerian artistes.
Seems Tiwa is planning to outdo every other celebrity wedding this year? Its pretty obvious!
In October, she travelled to the UK to pick her wedding dress. The designer is still unknown though.
Before then Tiwa in the company of her friend, Beth Models CEO, Elohor Aisien travelled to the Maldives in July. Not for fun, but to pick out venues and plan other details for a white wedding holding next year.
Her Bachelorette party is still keeping lips buzzing as she and her celebrity friends (including Toolz, Tosyn Bucknor, Toke Makinwa, Eku Edewor, Fade Ogunro, Toju Foyeh, Lami Philips, Sasha and others) dressed up in their nightgowns for the Victoria Secret-themed party and rocked all night. The one-of-a-kind hen night was spiced up with hot endowed male strippers. No wonder her hubby Tee Billz had to get-crash the party just to keep an eye on his bride-to-be. I guess he didn’t get the memo that its an all all-girls party. Lol.
Sources reveal that Tiwa has been having a hard time penning down the guest list which mainly comprises of top entertainment buffs, industry executives and business partners.
